Social Media VS Google Search for Real Estate Professionals

I was doing some research the other day, looking at some real estate profiles on Google and I found that many of the partners we work with don’t have their own google profile. These particular people I am talking about are very active on social media, so I found it strange they don’t have a Google profile.

Social media is a great way to get your name out there and remind your sphere of what you so However statistically 6% of people who bought or sold real estate last year found their realtor on social media, whereas 22% found their agent via search engine optimization. So, why on earth wouldn’t you want to have a google profile?

Google leads convert so much better because social media is what is known as disruptive marketing. People are on social media checking out their old high school buddies, seeing who is doing what, and then up pops a –‘ Just Sold _ I am here to help you buy a home!’

And that’s great but I is “disruptive”. Imagine you are at a concert enjoying your favorite band and I turn around and ask – Heyt do want to buy a go cart? What??? NO!!!

Whereas if you are on Google – where 90% of the traffic is, when someone searched, I want to buy a house in Oakland – your information pops up.
